So things have been a little hectic around here the past few days. DesignWeek is over, and I was very happy with the work I produced. I'd love to post some of it up, but I'm still under confidentiality, so you'll just have to miss out on that one. Also I got my MDP1 mark back, a cool 61, which keeps me on track for my 2:1, but gives me no motivation to build the damn thing (my treat for semester 2).

Yesterday night we were graced with the presence of Flash and Butts whom we took to FND with us. It was a social at our house - a crate, two bottles of vodka and silly amounts of sugar free redbull meant the fact I'd only had an hour's sleep the night previous was fairly inconsequential. The front room is not in a particularly good state now - the sofa tipping/wine bottle smashing/beer spilling/card distributing nature of the night means it's probably in the worst condition since we got here.

This morning I was pleasantly surprised to see a considerable amount of money had been put into my account. Unsure who 'Sa.' was (people owe me money, but I couldn't work out who this mystery benefactor was) I phoned the bank, who had even less idea than me. Eventually an internet search came up with some fantastic news - it was overpaid tax being returned. Jackers. I wasn't expecting that and it made my day.

This afternoon I headed over to Echos to pick up some VIP cards for the ex-towers committee. All have now been distributed and I can see me reaping the benefits of being the harbinger of good news tonight.

I am off to see Oasis on Tuesday. Devito has sorted out some tickets and so I decided to treat myself. I also checked the Foo Fighters site for the new dates, but was gutted to find the only gig is in June when I'm out the country. I wish the dates were easier; I was already annoyed that I missed Noise and Confusion. Will there ever be a line up like that again?

Not only am I musically entertained, I'm also hoping to get along to one or two of the stand up acts hitting Loughborough due to the Leicester comedy festival. Both Sue Perkins (Late Lunch - Mel & Sue) and Daniel Kitson are playing and both are on my list of 'to see' comics. Shows are next week so I need to check booking details. Anyone else who wants to go, let me know.

I don't often advertise stuff as blatantly as this, but as this is for a mate and a very good cause, please make a visit to www.teampinkpanda.co.uk and help Guy try to get to Mongolia in a Pink Panda. I will be sponsoring them myself and have already agreed to help them with some logo stuff, but they need to raise some cash. Even if it's only a little it will go a long way (even if the old beat-up Panda doesn't). All money goes directly to the charity. It's all on the site.
