Sunning It Up In The 'Bridge
Saturday, June 03, 2006
I've come back home to see The Parents, pick up presents, plan the next two weeks and everything else. The weather today has been stunning, so after I got up at 2pm (yes, it is so nice being lazy right now) I took a stroll into town to pay in some cheques and get a haircut.
The plan to get a haircut failed, but I decided to call in and see Mr & Mrs Goode as it's been a whole year since I visited Foley (my old boarding house). I walked into the lounge and said hi to Kate, fully aware that a baby was due, but totally missed the fact it was already perched on the floor in a carry cot. Born two weeks ago, Mia (Rose) was born with big blue eyes and a full head of hair. Unlike most babies, this particular baby is pretty cute and not one of those podgy pie faced types.
We talked over how things are, I got a tour of the newly refurbished house and chatted about our respective travels. It was cool to catch up.
I walked home via the park, which was being heavily used by the sun worshippers and came home for food and to antagonise the cat in the garden.
