I love my phone. I actually do. Despite this, I
sometimes get annoyed that the price tag doesn't exactly complement the performance; for instance, why did my phone
turn itself off at approximately 2pm today? The answer; I don't know, but it is incredibly frustrating when people
leave you strings of voicemails, text messages and missed calls, yet you have no idea until midnight-on-the-dot when
you hear your phone powering up for no apparent reason. Bahh technology.
Aside from this I spent the rest of
the day getting up, visiting Paul and doing some work (so no change there then). Sam and Paul came over to pick me
up at 12ish and while Sam went for a lecture Paul and I got pizza and chips in and then spent the best part of 5
hours discussing webdesign and the good old days at school, even though the former had not been the reason for
visiting. The main reason for us catching up is that with Sam's 21st on Friday, I needed to make a selection from
the menu for the restaurant. Should be very nice.
The others all went out tonight. I keep feeling like a total
loser for spending all this time inside (as although I'm working, I never feel satisfied) and am inside waiting for
a chance to break out and enjoy myself for a night, rather than sitting here browsing through Diabetes Forums (although they
are very helpful for my project).
At least I've got the weekly shop out the way. Is that meant to make me
feel better? Urgh.

Friday and Saturday set an unusual precedence as I
kipped during the daylight hours on two consecutive days. Something to do with disturbed sleep
patterns.
Sean's dad is up tonight. I had intended on going out tonight, but after much deliberation I chose
spend my 'allowance' of one night out over the weekend on Friday at FND. The queues were ridiculous, the rain was
annoying, but it still remained a very good night.
Part of the celebrations were to do with subby Caroline's
completion of her PhD, and the night also gave me the chance to catch up with Joe and his business partner/friend
who was over from New York. Devtio, Jim and Broomy were out, but apart from this there weren't huge numbers of
familiar faces.
Today has been spent working solidly since about 10.30am. The Flash assignment - there is
hardly anything more tedious in my life at the moment than coursework. Maybe I'll get some of tomorrow off if I
push hard in the morning.

I'm too busy to write anything sensible, so read these two lists of facts about Vin
Diesel and Chuck Norris. It will make you laugh.

Also Jim drew a picture and I said he could post it here. Well done Jim.

Being an incredibly studious person, I finally have started work on getting MDP1 back on
the boil. To be honest I'm a little disappointed at the progress made so far, but at least it's better than
nothing.
I'm currently sitting in a soup of diabetic fun; swimming between supplies, printouts, photographic
evidence, sketchbooks and other things that have made their way onto my desk unexpectedly throughout the day.
However, none of these things are work related - my inbox is strictly only for works-in-progress. I have taken the
precaution of bolting the business door in order to maintain some sanity and am now positively turning down work, or
at least delaying anything to do with it until I get some free time to cut through the stuff I've already
subscribed to.
This morning's lecture on Enterprise and Innovation was once again ventured into on a caffeine
trip. I found it so incredibly hard to get out of my nice warm bed at half seven, although the lecture itself was
good (as usual), but it didn't help me wake up particularly.
I don't think I'm awake yet, and its 9.52pm
now.
