No TV

Despite the house TV breaking (an unfortunate occurrence that has brought home how much it brought us all together at meal times) I have managed to watch more TV today than in the past month. For some reason I thought it a suitable day to turn on the broadband and catch up with the entire series of The Armstrongs and the newest episode of Buzzcocks. I don't know what'd got into me - I don't even watch these programmes.
I went for curry again last night. Jon dropped by early evening and threatened if Tescos was shut (and it was) that he would have to get take away (so we did). The rest of the evening and this morning onwards was spent making dissertation progress. I have finally hit the 9000 word point, which is unfortunate, as although it's the number of words I'm meant to hand in, it's also not covered everything I wanted to say. Being one of those people who strings together a sentence that lasts two or three sides of A4 is a speciality, so the next task it taking the lyrical secateurs to my masterpiece.
Jono took me into town briefly, and I managed to rescue my chequebook which the bank was telling me was getting ever-so-close to being chargrilled, and deposited some other cheques to top up my rather thin looking balance. Unfortunately spending has gone up recently, while paid work load has gone down to cope with the run up to graduation. There are all sorts of things like buying discount software (while still a student), signing up for things at student rates and then all the things like photos and gowns and al-fresco lunches. It can be very expensive.
Tomorrow I plan to send out the first-drafts.
