To Cornwall

Getting up at 4am in the morning is never a pleasant experience, made worse by the fact you only got to bed at two, and even then you couldn't sleep. This was my story this morning as I was awoken and told to get into the car for the ridiculous long journey down to the south coast for a week's holiday in Newlyn, Cornwall.
By 7am, we had just got out of the house and I was in a suitably foul mood for a person who only had two hours sleep, but knows that they could have had at least four hours sleep and still have been ready to get into the car for leaving time had they been given the opportunity.
It was a long drive. We stopped for breakfast at around 11am, which already felt like mid afternoon. By 1pm we were well and truly lodged in the Saturday holiday traffic, made even grottier by the fact that it was incredibly humid and all the seats in the car were occupied.
I was more than glad to climb into the shower when we finally arrived at our rented accommodation up on the hill, overlooking the harbour. I was positively overjoyed to discover that there is a free internet spot here as well (not that I'm intending on using it much; this is a holiday after all), but also that I won the lots for the room with the best view in the house. Not that I'll be seeing much of it... I think I need to catch up with six hours lost sleep.
